It's raining boobies!

Just now, I was in the galley and I heard Eila shout, "Mommy, it's raining boobies!"   I came out, and so it was.  Blue footed boobies, to be exact.  They circle, then flatten their wings along their bodies and plummet like a narrow torpedo straight down into the water, resurface, then repeat.

Only yesterday did we begin seeing these iconic birds.  I've been eagerly hoping and hoping we would have the pleasure of seeing  them, then oila, they appeared without any fanfare.  I'm not an expert on booby breeds so I'm trying to determine if there is a second species also mixed in.  I'll keep you posted if I puzzle it out.  For now, we are pulling in to Coyote Beach, located in Bahia Concepcion in the Sea of Cortez, so, I'm signing off.
