In these last months leading up to these last weeks which will lead up to the last few days and minutes of our current time in Santa Cruz,  I'm seeking to be present and thankful for moments with friends and family.  Here are a few I want to not forget.

Dinners outside around Kristin's fire pit with my nephew Sam, our family, and Kristin

Joyful playtimes Eila is having with her friends: Emma, Ruby, Bella...then getting to hear her report back to me about them

Coffeeshop dates for Eloise and her friends, and her exuberance when she realizes her friends love her.

Using up all the gift cards we've received to local coffeeshops over the years.

Finding our three tuxedo cats curled up in various hollows and grass patches around our property.

Collecting eggs from our chickens.

Birthday bonfire with Kristin at Seabright beach: hotdogs, side salads, cartwheels, and nephews.

Short yet precious visit to Virginia to say goodbye to my Uncle Ken. 10 days before he graduated to his permanent heaven home.

Getting to help in a class for 5 year-olds at my last two days of our homeschool co-op.

My friends praying for me.

Peaceful morning fog in the valley behind our house, and the drip drip drip from the redwoods.

To be continued!
