Making progress south

We spent 3 nights anchored in Monterey where we put away more of our piles of provisions, learned some California History by walking around to the old adobes, and spent time with some longtime friends, Kevin and Lauren.  We also, discussed and made more clear our safety protocols, checked our life jackets, etc.

And here we have the morning's sunrise from Stillwater Cove (within a golf ball's distance from Pebble Beach Golf Course)

Next, we spent two nights anchored in San Simeon Bay which is just down hill of Hearst Castle.  My nephew Sam and his girlfriend, made the 3 hour drive to meet up with the girls and me on land to tour this unique part of California History.  (How convenient Eila is in 4th grade and studying Ca history!)

And now we are in Morro Bay a peaceful and beautiful estuary with mooring balls, many sea otters, plenty of calm places to paddle board and explore.  After this, we will head to the Channel Islands (another great place to tie to 4th grade Ca history with the Scott O'Dell book, Island of the Blue Dolphins).

As we move down the coast, we are getting more and more belongings and boat systems organized, more useable, etc.
